Kent County Council: A259 Sandgate Esplanade, Sandgate (Prohibition Of Waiting) Temporary Order 2018

To allow various telecoms cabling and ducting works to be safely carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of A259 Sandgate Esplanade, Sandgate, near Folkestone.

Waiting and loading will be prohibited at all times on both sides of Sandgate Esplanade between the junctions with Castle Bay and Brewers Hill, to the extent indicated by No Waiting signs and cones placed on site.

This comes into force from Tuesday 11 September 2018 and applies during works with an anticipated duration of 2 days.

Due to the nature of the works, the restrictions will need to remain in force outside the working hours.

The restrictions are in conjunction with temporary traffic lights, and the use of the nearby zebra crossing will be suspended during the works.

This Order suspends any existing parking entitlements and restrictions that apply to the sections of Sandgate Esplanade identified above.

Noise Nuisance Reporting

We’ve had some reports of noise nuisance reported to us recently. During the summer months it’s clearly likely people will be outside more and enjoying the weather: we hope everyone has a good time but ensures they don’t disturb their neighbours especially later in the evening.

Folkestone and Hythe District Council are responsible for helping local residents deal with excessive noise. You can report a noise nuisance online using the following link https://www.folkestone-hythe.gov.uk/report-a-problem/noise or if it is excessive noise outside normal office hours then then you can contact the out of office number on 01303 221888.

If it is extremely excessive then you can contact the police on the non-emergency 111 number.
